The primary goal of Fit to Fight is to help patients build muscle mass and muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve functional ability. Additional goals include reducing the severity of therapy side effects, preventing unwanted weight changes, and improving energy levels and self esteem. A final goal of the program is to assist participants in developing their own physical fitness program so they can continue to practice a healthy lifestyle as part of their recovery. This fitness program can become a way of life.
and PEAK HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER have partnered to create this program. We provide an opportunity for individuals with cancer to benefit from a program based on physical therapy principles and practices, utilizing the state of the art equipment at the Peak.
• Pre-registration is required, as class size is limited.
• Regular attendance is required to maintain a spot in the program.
