Alpine Physical Therapy is honored to be the sole annual physical therapy sponsor of the Missoula Marathon. Great for us. Great for the participants. Great for Missoula! For Missoula? Yep. In addition to lots of great people visiting our community, these participants become a stimulus package all their own to our great city. As you’ll see, the accompanying article summarizes the fantastic impact of the Missoula Marathon to our local economy. Read on . . .
Marathon runners bring economic boost to Missoula hotels, retailers, restaurants
If it’s true that $100 will buy you a good pair of running shoes, then almost half a million dollars worth of sneakers hit the pavement Sunday morning for the fifth annual Missoula Marathon and Half Marathon.
Race organizers expected more than 4,000 runners, and area businesses believe the pocketbooks that anted up for all those shoes will have a lot left to give as runners and their support teams eat, drink, stay and play here.
As the marathon has grown through its first five years, so has its economic impact.

Being the exclusive physical therapy sponsor of the annual Missoula Marathon has given Alpine Physical Therapy the opportunity to educate, treat, and connect with many in the running community. It seems that every year gets better and better.
This year topped the list. We provided post-race massages for over 120 runners. Our team, along with two massage therapists from the Spa at the Peak, went non-stop from 8 am to 1 pm. That’s a lot of massages.
Alpine would like to congratulate everyone involved with this year’s event. For more information on the top stories of the Marathon, click here.
Alpine Physical Therapy, the exclusive physical therapy sponsor of the annual Missoula Marathon, was front and center at this year’s Expo. As always, we were present at the Expo to provide pre-race injury consultation.
This year, we threw a twist into things. We loaded up two CoreAlign units and made them available for people to demo at the Expo.
Pam Eppard, Studio Manager at The Core Studio at Alpine, was on-hand to provide free CoreAlign demonstration instruction. People had a blast getting to know this new exercise method.
The impact that CoreAlign is having on runners is profound. Many who exercise regularly using this method are running with remarkably greater performance . . . and with less pain.

We’re geared up to offer injury consultations, pre-race advice, and to introduce CoreAlign to participants at the yearly Expo this Saturday. We’ll also be out in full colors to provide post-race massages to all runners on Sunday, raceday.
