Exercise is good medicine. It can improve both physical and emotional health. But what if exercise could also make you smarter? New research out of the University of Copenhagen shows that it can! Subjects were asked to perform a complicated computer skill intimidatingly following or prior to a 15 minute bike ride. The group that followed their computer task with exercise were better able to recall their new skill with more accuracy then the other groups. Accordingly, exercising after learning a new skill can help the brain convert short term memory into long term success.
