Your occupational therapist may use a variety of treatment methods:

• Individualized home exercise programs focused on improving strength, range of motion, and coordination.
  
• Manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization for reducing pain and increasing functional use of area.
• May recommend a prefabricated splint or custom splint fabrication for protection and support.
• Individualized patient education for conservative and post-operative care
• Providing individualized patient education on appropriate posture, ergonomics, and body mechanics to manage symptoms and prevent potential injury.
• Implement activity modifications
