Spine Rehabilitation

When Alpine opened its doors in 2004, we focused primarily on spine care. Since then, we’ve treated thousands of Missoulians with neck or back pain. At Alpine, we consider ourselves experts in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription which are key to spine care. We have a solid reputation as Missoula’s top spot for orthopedic physical therapy, especially as it relates to the spine.

What is Manual Therapy

Manual therapy consists of a thorough musculoskeletal assessment and treatment using hands-on techniques. Our skilled spine rehabilitation team have all taken numerous post-graduate courses in manual therapy to quickly evaluate and effectively diagnose your spine condition. Soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization are manual therapy techniques utilized to promote normal movement patterns, reduce pain, and return the patient to functional activities.

Movement and Exercise Therapies

Guided exercises help people move and exercise correctly which are paramount to long term success in spine care. We commonly utilize Pilates and CoreAlign® to ensure our patients regain proper core and limb strength, flexibility, and the neuromuscular control to improve their movement in daily life. The end result is improved comfort, function, and overall spine health.
Comprehensive Spine Care
At Alpine, we pride ourselves on providing expert spinal rehabilitation to the residents of Missoula and surrounding areas. Our expertise includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of these spine conditions:
  • Low back pain (lumbar spine)
  • Mid and upper back pain (thoracic spine)
  • Neck pain (cervical spine)
  • Rib pain and dysfunction
  • Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Headaches
Clinic Model
We use a highly researched clinical model to determine the type of treatment that will help you the most.  In addition to manual therapy and movement and exercise therapies, your treatment plan may include therapeutic taping (McConnell, KT Tape, etc.),  Functional Dry Needling,  and IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) to best get you back to feeling better

At Alpine Physical Therapy, you can be sure that you are getting the latest in advanced PT practice methods and technological treatment innovations, so you can experience a big difference in your comfort and spine health.
